I arrived feeling nervous, uncertain and tired. I left feeling revived, deeply nourished, and connected to source and sisterhood. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the privilege and opportunity to sit in circle with other striving women walking a path of courage, curiosity and spiritual growth. I was showered with permission to love myself, to love, to receive, and to slow down. My daily practice, which had waned in the business of spring time, was rejuvenated and has continued with me back into the so called real world. I feel lighter, connected to my joy, and expanded into more aspects of the feminine. There were SO many juicy nuggets of wisdom, pleasure, inspiration, joy, and celebration. This weekend was profoundly transformational for me on my path to a more embodied and loving life as a woman.” ~ Claire Broughton
“The wild heart women’s retreat was an incredible gift. It gave me a safe space to truly connect to other women on the deepest of levels. I was able to find so many ways to return to my true self and I am inspired moving forward to find ways to take the magic of this retreat and incorporate them into my daily life.” ~ Katie Butzen
“I am so grateful for the amount of "firsts" I had over this beautiful weekend. I was supported in stepping out of my comfort zone to experience a level of connection I have never felt so strongly among women. I didn't know anyone else who was attending, and left part of a sisterhood. This environment offered me space to start releasing hurts I've been carrying around for years. It allowed me to discover new things about myself and taught me to honor it all. "Good", "bad" and everything in between. I feel a new sense of self confidence, and a deep knowing of my capabilities to tend to my own heart, so I am never alone. As well as my feminine health and well being. I am committed to advocate for my wants, needs and desires with a fierce passion, because I KNOW and BELIEVE I DESERVE them. It was powerful and heartfelt, gentle and challenging, everything I didn't know I needed. It was amazing, these women are amazing, WOMEN ARE AMAZING. I am so much more comfortable in my own skin, it's lovely.” ~ Danielle Wilcock
“Attending a women’s gathering of this magnitude under the guidance, and nurturing of Lily and Kayla gave me a place to fit in. A place that I did not realize I so desperately needed and longed for. Having this many women together, talking of subjects that are taboo in this day in age, is truly healing. We spoke together, felt together, and healed together. The power of feminine togetherness has the capacity to change the world. My divine feminine felt this union in my bones and soul. It was cathartic in an ancient way. A way that my soul applauded for finally figuring out. This event changed me. It has made me more confident as a wombman, more accepting as a human, and most importantly announced a call to action for my purpose here. I have deep gratitude for this event and its facilitators. The space held at the Wild Heart Women’s Gathering was divinely designed for true growth. It was a magical container to aid me in my transformation and I am truly blessed to have been a part of it. I would recommend this event to any wombman in my life without a hint of hesitation.” ~ Emma Hooper
“This gathering was so special, and just what I needed. It was an offering of love, connection, mindful movement and eating, and so much that fed my soul and my growth. I would highly recommend it to every woman I know!” ~ Lisa Nielsen
“The Wild Heart Women's Gathering was such a lovely environment full of positivity, support, openness, wisdom, and transformation! I loved that women of all ages were present, and especially mother/daughter pairs were so sweet to see. The weekend was packed with so many talented and knowledgeable leaders sharing a wide variety of topics, from expressive dance to Ayurveda to healing past wounds and trauma. It was a good balance of playful, emotional, informative, and I felt well-supported throughout the experience. The food was super nourishing and delicious and the property at Deer Hill is very tranquil and beautiful. I highly recommend this amazing gathering of goddesses if you ever get the opportunity!” ~ Martha Tingle
“The Wild Heart Women's retreat was a beautiful gathering of women. As a participant the first year and presenter this year, I can say that everything from the flower arrangements to the speaker topics and all that goes into the gathering is thoughtful, beautiful, nutritious to the soul and revered as sacred by the organizers. I loved how we were able to let our guards down quickly and allow ourselves to get in deep into the process of the workshops. The dancing, the conversations, the food and the magical land that this retreat was held on really made for an amazing experience. I loved meeting women from all over the country and walks of life too!” ~ Alli Cloyd
“When I registered for the retreat I imagined a gathering with women at a beautiful place and hoped to learn more about yoga and plants. I had no idea the transformation I would receive in just one weekend. The physical pain I had in my shoulder and hip (that I had resigned to just living with) went away. I learned so much about the energy I had been storing that needed to be released. I felt my heart open to receive love. I feel so inspired by so many of the women that I met. I just can't get enough. I want to sign up for everything that is offered by all of the wonderful teachers at this retreat. Something in me changed this weekend that I want to explore more deeply. I have deep gratitude for everyone that I met during this gathering. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!” ~ Veronica Pritchett
“The Wild Heart Women’s Gatherings are a sacred and safe place for women to nourish deeply, learn greatly, expand and connect with other leaders in the community and beyond. I use these long weekends as a retreat for myself to unplug, play, find edges, experiment and make deeper connections. I am incredibly grateful for these events and plan to continue to prioritize them for myself as they are a beautiful support for growth and love.” ~ Ani Silversprings

Brandy Wade grew up in Boulder, Colorado. As a young girl, Brandy and her mother (a spiritual teacher and therapist), would talk for hours about the nature of life, exploring and diving into the subtle intricacies of the world around them. It was through these conversations that Brandy recognized the value of listening to her heart and therefore kindled her passion for alternative healing arts. At age 19, Brandy went from being a competitive soccer player to a spiritual explorer as she turned toward nature and yoga. From that point forward, she was guided to various teachers, paths, and modalities shaping the person she is today.
For the past 20 years, Brandy has been a student and teacher of yoga, extensively studying the Feminine path of Hatha, Bhakti, and Tantra Yoga. Some of her main teachers have been Shannon Paige Schneider, Aditi Devi, Sofia Diaz, and Brenda Flemming. She has also had the honor to work with the spirit of plant medicines for 15 years and dance the ceremonial Moondance in Mexico the last seven years, receiving the teachings from Aztec and Mayan grandmother Abuela Mali Nali. Currently, Brandy splits her time between Durango and Salida, Colorado and offers bodywork sessions that incorporate Ortho-bionomy, womb and belly healing, yoni steams, ancestral healing, sound healing, plant brushings, emotional and somatic therapy, prayer, and song.

Settle into the soothing wave frequencies from the Crystal and Tibetan bowls as well as a myriad of other instruments that will be woven into the soundscape. This session will support the relaxation of mind, the softening of heart, and the settling of the nervous system. During our time together we will uplift our prayers and intentions to be heard, witnessed, and surrendered to the Divine. We will shift our focus from thinking to listening as it is in these slower meditative brain wave states where deep healing is available.
Morning Sadhana Practice
A subtle body yoga practice that weaves, breath, movement, and bodily alignment. We will align our bodies to our vertical nature as conduits between Heaven and Earth, circling our breath within the currents of our beings, connecting to the spatial awareness around us, and receiving the grace of connectedness as a whole body prayer. KUKU ~ Ceremonial Cacao
We are Kukuru & Waupu, mother and daughter, Guardians of the Fire and the Spirit of Ix Cacao.
Our ceremonies are based on the Mayan cosmovision, inspired in the special energy of each day, following the Sacred Calendar Cholq'üj', "The Count of Destiny". Our journey together in ceremony borns in the desert of Wirikuta, Mexico, in 2019. A call and a vision from the sacred fire of the Wixarika tradition. Later the medicine of cacao presents to us and in 2021 we travel to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Where for the first time we encounter our teachers, magicians, Tatas, Nanas and guardians of cacao, that to the present day guide us in our formation as Ceremonialists.
Our mission is to awaken the magic of the heart, through recognizing the divine essence that lives within our own wonderful universe.
Offering: Kuku Cacao Ceremony
It is a beautiful moment that will connect you with the love and healing magic that exists within you. We will drink ceremonial cacao in front of a lively altar of flowers lit by a sacred fire. Wrapped in an aura of sounds and healing frequencies that will surely make your heart vibrate. Since ancient times, Cacao has been honored in sacred ceremonies by our Mayan ancestors. Each cacao seed contains 1.2% Theobromine, property that in Greek means the food of the Gods. We honor Kuku, the name of the Cacao Spirit, which means “Sacred over sacred”.
Our ceremony follows the Mayan Cosmovision. Kuku Cacao is the union of components and ideal energies that stimulates the opening of the heart and creates a inner communication in connection with our own spirit. It activates a very special and loving frequency in each person, harmonizing in emotional, mental and spiritual levels.
Physical benefits:
Activates blood circulation, cleaning veins and arteries.
Is energizing and revitalizing, increases the feeling of well-being.
It produces a broad state of consciousness and sensory perception.
Laurie Hall and her family have been farming in Mancos for 19 years, growing vegetables and hay and raising Navajo Churro sheep. A few years ago, Laurie was introduced to botanical dyes and added a dye garden to her family's farm operations. Growing and using botanical dyes is farming-science-nature-art all rolled into one, and she was hooked! The use of botanical dyes is something of a lost art, and by teaching workshops, Laurie is delighted to share both ancient and new techniques that are beautiful, environmentally friendly, and fun.
Her Offering: Textile Dyeing with Flower Power
Express your colorful self! There is magical color hidden in many plants around us. Join me to learn a bit about botanical dyes as you experience the ancient Japanese textile art of Shibori, a method of folding and tying to create specific patterns. Shibori textiles are traditionally dyed with indigo, but in this workshop, our color will come from fresh flowers from my dye garden in Mancos. You’ll use dye baths, flowers and Shibori techniques to create a flower-infused top of your own design to take home.
Lily Russo: I feel very fortunate to have been practicing yoga for the past 20 years. It has been a path of health, joy, transformation and empowerment since my teen years. Initially, it was the physical practice that captured my attention, but over the years this led me to study all the other facets including pranayama, meditation, tantra, and yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, as well as other influential disciplines, primarily Buddhism, the Tao te Ching, and plant medicines. I have participated in over 1000 hours of yoga trainings, and am an affiliate of Shiva Rea’s Samudra Global School of Living Yoga, leading 200 Hour Prana Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Trainings.
As a Sacred Sensuality Guide, Yoga Teacher, Retreat Organizer, Podcaster and Ayurvedic Wellness Coach, my goal is to guide others to embody a path of connection to their higher selves and to all other beings, and be empowered to access the great cosmic source of radiance, creativity, and healing. My deepest passion is connecting with women and guiding them to fully cultivate their natural feminine powers of sensuality, intuition, compassion, radiance and pleasure! Connect with me at www.lilyrussoyoga.com
The vision for Wild Heart Women’s Gathering stemmed from a deep yearning to connect more deeply to sisterhood, my elemental body, and the natural cycles and powers of our wild Mother Earth. During the gathering I will be facilitating ceremony, movement medicine, song, and connection between all guests and the land we will be gathering on.
Offering:
Living in Rhythm:
In nature, we see animals and plants instinctively living in rhythm with the sun. A bird wakes at sunrise and starts to sing, then cleans herself, then looks for food. A flower opens up with the light and closes in the evening. Just like plants and animals, we are meant to live in alignment with the cycles of nature. Morning, mealtime, and evening rituals are especially helpful in establishing healthy rhythms to our day for optimal energy, digestion, and sleep. In this experience, we’ll study the Ayurvedic recommendations for living in alignment with nature, and we’ll get on the mat to practice embodiment rituals appropriate for the sacred junctures of sunrise and sundown.
The Land:
Our gathering place, Deer Hill basecamp, in Mancos, Colorado, is located on 130 acres of meadowland and pinion-juniper forest at the base of Menefee Mountain in the Mancos River Valley. Located 30 miles west of Durango, CO, and six miles from Mesa Verde National Park, the Mancos Valley has a long tradition of agriculture, kept alive today in multigenerational ranches and small organic farms.
At Deer Hill, you’ll enjoy cozy common spaces, beautiful grounds, and a ranch-like feel. The strawbale-constructed Meeting Place, with its many south-facing windows, wood floors, and custom woodwork provides an inspiring venue for indoor movement and sound workshops.
Deer Hill’s beautiful outdoor grounds include lush grassy fields, shady cottonwood trees, hiking opportunities right from the property, and a great palapa on which to relax in the shade by the pond. Our outdoor workshops will take place in the soft grass beneath the biggest cottonwood; this gathering space will be affectionately called The Cottonwood.
The House, where the kitchen is located, is a great place to relax and read a book or play a game, and will be our indoor alternative in case of rain for any outdoor workshops. The House creates an incredibly authentic, homey feel at Deer Hill, as it was our Founders, Doug and Beverly Capelin’s, primary residence for most of Deer Hill’s history.
The camping options are plentiful in the valley of the Mancos Hills, where you will share your nights with wildflowers and wildlife.
The bunkhouse cabins have an open floor plan, with bunkbeds along the perimeter. Tucked amongst the piñon and juniper trees, these cabins provide the classic “camp experience” for guests.
All camphouse and bunkhouse guests share the bathrooms in The Showerhouse.
The Loft is a beautiful second-story lodging option overlooking the valley with shared or private bedrooms and shared bathrooms.
Nourishment
Our amazing culinary team headed by Chef Hannah Smith will be crafting up five delicious, nourishing, gluten free, locally inspired brunches and dinners (2 meals per day), starting with dinner on Friday.
Chef Hannah believes that food is more than a meal. Food is an adventure, an experience, a way of nourishing our bodies. It’s an opportunity to connect to nature and to engage with the lands with which we live, to remember that we are not distinct from but rather part of the natural world. An educator and social worker by trade, Hannah brings an ecotherapy lens to her food offerings by way of her private chef business, Adventure through Food. Currently based out of Durango, Colorado, Hannah is thrilled to be supporting retreats and believes her organic and local offerings support people’s embodied experience.
Teas, fresh fruits, and filtered water will be available throughout the day. Please bring your own snacks. Suggestions are fruit, bars, nuts, seeds, and superfood drink mixes. Special diets will be lovingly accommodated to the best of our ability.

Body Work
Hope Miller
My name is Hope Miller, I am a certified Rolfer and Reiki Practitioner based out of Durango, CO. The goal with all of my sessions is to help you return to your body and find alignment and ease as you interact with the world around you. The patterns that we hold onto in our lives manifest as tension and disorganization in our bodies. When we have more spaciousness and options for movement, we open up a whole world of possibilities and we can interact with the world differently and more openly. Rolfing is designed to help your body come back to its natural alignment so you can spend less energy fighting gravity and put more energy towards what is alive in you. I pair Rolfing's fascia and alignment work with energy work to find what is blocked in your body and encourage your body to let go of these patterns that are no longer serving you. To pre book a session, contact Hope via www.hoperolfing.com

Hailey Jane, born in California, currently living in Colorado, took to photography while pursuing a 3 year backpacking trip around the world. With the influence of writing, yoga, and navigating foreign countries, she began her own process of unraveling and rewilding who she was. Her interest in portraiture photography stemmed from a desire to capture people in their most radiant and raw essence, at pivotal times of their lives.
Acting as a timestamp in your journey, Hailey’s photos may serve as a reminder of where you've been, who you are, and the inner sanctuary you've created for and of yourself.
Tonal themes: Nostalgia, sanctuary, prayer, haven, wild, expression, home, ease, contentment.
Her portfolio weaves cultural, lifestyle, landscape, and embodiment portraiture photography.
You can often find her spending time in nature near water, intuitively dancing or learning contact improv, discovering new music, photographing music events or retreats, giggling with friends, snowboarding or surfing (depending on season and place), or planning her next adventure.
Notes: Any person identifying as a woman/womyn/wombyn is welcome! At this time, children cannot be accommodated, however, in future years we envision creating kids’ activities and support for mothers. This year, teenage young women, accompanied by their caretaker, who are interested to participate in the activities are welcome to attend!
